Color theory: from perceptual models to the hybridizer's task Color theory has been with us for hundreds of years. While often considered the domain of designers, artists and color industry professionals, understanding color theory basics can help inform the viewer's response to a given item or artifact. Are there aspects of color theory that can inform the act of daylily hybridizing, or does the genetic co-dominance seen in the majority of crosses place the hybridizer in a position of merely responding to the result?
